FIRST FIND OF 2006 SPANISH SILVER

[chark21798]

I HOPE THE YEAR STAYS ON TRACK. THIS WAS MY FIRST FIND OF 2006. WE DARED THE COLD AND RAIN, BUT WAS WELL WORTH IT. ITS A 1774 SPANISH SILVER 2 OR 4 REALE NOT SURE. AND DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD SUGGESTION ON HOW TO CLEAN THE BLACK OFF SILVER WITHOUT DAMAGING COIN. WELL HAPPY HUNTING TO ALL.

i would leave it be. the oxadation kind of supports your story of having dug the coin out of a field.its part of the coins character.
