First finds and unidentified objects!

Today was my first metal detecting hunt and i was pretty excited. I found 2 strange pieces of metal and was walking to another trail when i got a hit. I was so surprised to dig up a 1966 license plate! These are my first and by far best finds even if they weren't coins like i was hunting for But i have a question: What are the 2 unidentified pieces of metal i found? I was gonna post this in the Whats this thread but i decided to show off my good finds and unidentified finds at the same time.

Top right looks like melted aluminum slag.. I find a lot in sandy areas. No idea why it is there.

Iron.. looks like a piece of bracket; common to find these things. Can only imagine what it actually came off of.

License plate is cool.. I would hang it up somewhere and put it in the man cave when you get one.

No idea on the metal pieces but that plate is in great condition for being 50 years old. That is a keeper. Welcome from Port Huron.
