So, short of the long is, I've arrived at my new job location recently and quickly found a CU that allows me to buy the coin sorter bags once they're full.
This past weekend, I searched a $1000 in quarters and $200 in pennies with modest results. One shiny '64 quarter was all I found in Ag and I finished my boys' States quarter books with them. Not too bad, but I'm still searching for that prime spot in my new region.
In the penny bags, I found a comfortable quantity. We found about 20 wheaties (iirc) to add to my boys' collection with most being in the mid 40s through the end of the era. Two significant penny finds were a 1920 in pretty good shape and a (PITA to find, to boot!) 1970 S mint mark that completed our 'modern' penny book as well.
Good luck to everyone and we'll see you out there!
