I went MD'ing with my father for the first time. My father has hunted a lot back in Poland, but it was his first hunt in the States. We MD'ed a forest preserve where all the local schools play soccer and football at. Man 'O Man did I dig up a lot of pull tabs (they sure give a nice signal) and bottle caps before I found my first nickel. We ended up finding 4 clad nickels, 2 clad dimes and a memorial penny. Nothing to brag about, but I'll tell you that it's enough to have gotten me hooked. I look forward to punding the ground and sharing my finds with all of you Thanks for looking!

P.S. I just tried posting this w/pics, but it told me thatmy file couldn't be saved, that my file may be too big. Any help would be appreciated, thanks again.

Congratulations on getting out, atleast ya found a few things, as far as the pictures, you'll have to resize them & make them smaller to load on here, by the way, welcome to TNET

Welcome to this addicting Hobby! If you save all those pull tabs, you can put them in your aluminum cans (adds legal weight) & get more for your money when recycling.

If you like digging those pulls tabs, you are going to fall in love with zinc pennies! I have only found one use for the ones that the coin sorter does not take, Paint'em gold, and throw them in a treasure chest, (cause even banks don't like taking them).

I do believe you've got the knack for this hobby :)

The schools have lots to offer, especially ones with sports fields. Hunt 'em hard and you'll come home happy.

Welcome to TNet!

Welcome,

The important part is your getting out and bonding with Dad. I love the tone (color) on that 2000 Nickle, won't be long before your pulling silver and gold.

Keep @ it and HH!!
