First Gold Ring of 2026

Happy New Years all, I have found my first Gold ring of the year and it a nice one. This time its a white gold with a large diamond I found it looking for another lost gold ring in the same area that's been lost now for 3 years at a large Apartment complex, in Killeen, Texas. It is marked 750 in 2 locations and has a makers mark and another mark I cannot make out, the diamond is an easy 1/2 caret. One thing is for sure it was there for some time. cheers.

That’s a killer way to start the year — congrats! 750 stamped twice is a great sign, and that stone looks like it has some serious presence.

If you ever decide to figure out a rough baseline value before taking it anywhere, the quick-and-dirty approach is just weight in grams + 18K purity (0.750) to get melt value, then treat the diamond separately (and assume offers will be under melt unless you sell it as jewelry).
