first gold ring

I know this little ring is kid stuff for a lot of the beach hunters but I can see how someone could get hooked on digging jewelry. I have found several rings but this is the first gold one. It is a small wedding band with the initials K. L. 1928 . I caught my self feeling sorry for who ever lost it. I lost my first wedding ring on a boat ride . I stuck my hand in the water and that was it. The boat was moving and the water was about 20 feet deep so it was a lost cause. I was wondering when I was gonna find some gold .I started to give up.LOL I also found an 1861 krulzer and other odds and ends . I did find a nice WW2 U.S. coat button. It is pretty large and was a real nice surprise.

If any one knows any info on this button that would be real cool. This weekend will be my last good hunt for a while so I hope I end up with something to post. I will still get an hour in here and there but things are getting busy. I hope all is well and everyone is getting a chance to hunt! HH

I think that button is known as "The Great Seal of the United States' type, and according to what I've read first made in 1902 and continuing up to (thru) WW1. Maybe later. But like some posted, the buttons were soon made of plastic. Nice find. Sure looks like an overcoat button.

Peter I am not sure what that is. It has some sort of seal in the middle of it so maybe it is a ring ?? It may be some type of wrap around ring. More resurch needed on this item.

From one newbie to another....No "kid stuff" there!!! Finding a gold ring?? AWESOME and something a lot of people haven't found yet! Gold man! IT'S GOLD!! LOVE IT! EVERYONE LOVES GOLD!!!!! OK maybe I am partial but I am diggin it!
