Went out for a few hours this morning and found my first gold with the ATP. I almost didn't dig it because I was getting a little tired of all the foil and pull tabs I had already dug up. It rang up as 46 and had a tiny bit of choppiness to it. Once it was out of the ground it was a clean 46 mid tone. Still haven't figured out the stone yet.

Good gold, jadocs. Can you post photos of the ring after it has been cleaned, especially the stone?

I don't want to pee in your Cheerios but that looks plated to me. Hope I'm wrong though and congrats

I think you guys are right. Pretty sure it's plated. There are markings inside the band but I can't make it out.

Here you go T,

I think it's probably junk since the ring isn't what I hoped it was.

All kinds of heartbreakers out there...some are actually designed to be and total rippoffs.
Here is a ring I found that I assume looked way different before it was lost, stamped 18k on the inside so somebody might have lost a bundle on this thing when purchased new.
This isn't the only mismarked piece of jewelry I have found, either.
If anyone believes this is 18k I got bridges...lots of bridges going for fire sale prices.

May your next ring be the real deal.
