First Half Cent Corroded & Bent - 1828 New Pictures "Cleaned" & Straightened
Since I hadn't been back to the 1877 Seated Liberty Half Dollar field for about two weeks, I figured I'd hit it today. Got there about 5:00 PM, and hunted right along the edge of one of the old dirt roads. Followed it right to the end and came up with a few flat buttons, a small buckle, and my first Half Cent. Signal was an iffy penny/dime at about 4 inches. It's a Classic Head from the 1820's and it's pretty corroded and bent, but after finding a total of over 40 Large Cents, Colonial Coppers and Tokens in the last few years, I finally got a Half Cent. I'll boil it in peroxide and it it cleans up better, I'll post new pictures.
