Wow! The weather turned out super nice this week. Each day the ground unthawed a little bit more. I managed to get in a few hunts at lunch time and after work. Found some keepers and one very nice Barber half.
The half was deep enough it was still in frozen ground. I am so thankful I didn't scratch it retrieving it from the hole. It was quite a sight in the hole because I had uncovered enough of it to see it laying there. I was sweating bullets until it broke free from the frozen dirt. I couldn't wait to get home for the clean up.
Hope every one is beginning to get some hunting in.
