First post and one afternoon's finds
Hi everyone... I've been reading TN for a while and enjoy the great pictures and stories as well as the friendly atmosphere. So I thought I'd start posting here with my own (usually amazingly humble) finds.
I was able to get out today thanks to this nice warm September. I went to two small spots--a patch of woods next to a local little league field and then a stretch of riverbank. In the river rocks I found a fired musket ball, a weird trinket, and a buffalo nickel... so that was a great afternoon by my standards
. I also got a small pile of sinkers, about 37 cents clad, and other odds and ends.
Here's a picture of the musket ball and the trinket, which seems to be made of copper or something similar. Any guesses as to what it is?
Thanks for looking!
