This is my first post, but I've been reading parts of the forum for a couple months now. Decided a couple weeks ago to do my first CRH. Asked a local CU if they had any halves when I stopped in. They said they did. Apparently another CRH stops in occassionally, but they had contacted him weeks ago and he hadn't come to pick up the $500 in halves, so they said they were mine if I wanted them. Wasn't ready to start quite that big (I know, peanuts to many of you) so I went with $100. Ended up getting a '62 Ben and one each of '67-'69 Kennedy's. Was out of town for work, so I couldn't get back to the CU to pick up the other $400. Called last Friday and....wait for it.....they were gone. Should have followed everyone's advice and BOUGHT EVERYTHING! Also got four coins for my coin collection.
Much of my hunting in the past has been to pick up coins for my coin collection (passed down from my grandmother), including a foreign coin collection I started.
Hope to be doing more posting on future hunts.
