Hello everyone. Its been a while since I've posted anything. Have not been able to go out as often as I would like in the past few weeks and months. I have a new job, "new" car, was in between cameras but now I have a new phone. With the kids out of school Im a stay at home dad after work. Dont you just love summer vacation? lol. Also have been busy with traveling and vacations. Went to Mexico for a week with my wife which was AMAZING. Hunted the beach for an hour. Pics included at the end.

Ok that's the end of my little rant. Its nice to be back in the game for now. Ill keep trying to go out on the weekends as much as I can.

So today it was raining cats and dogs. That didn't stop me. It usually does though. Covered my Ace and put on a rain coat. Hopped in my "New" Miata only to find that the top leaks all over the place. Yipee!:BangHead: Went to my usual park and tried to find a old clearing that is all over grown now. Hoping to find old picnic areas. Not much luck. Then I just started to wander. Found the mechanical pencil by a tree. First non junk find.

Then around the other side of the tree was the BEST Surface Find EVER! Definitely had a shock when I saw this was on the ground.
Under some leaves and ringing like crazy. It looked so real lol. Alas just an Air Soft Gun but it works still :icon_thumright:
No room for it in the pouch. Put it in my jacket. Looked like I was packing heat haha.

After that I was just walking down some hiking paths swinging as I go. Had a nice silver tone between dime and half dollar. Defiantly was expecting clad. So happy it wasn't. My first silver for the year AND my first Silver Washington Quarter EVER! 1946 and not that bad looking.

Turned out to be a coin spill. About a foot away I found a 1919 wheatie.

That definitely made the hunt for me today. I guess it is worth it to hunt in the rain :laughing7:
Here is everything for the day. The pocket watch guts I found near our cabin in central Wisconsin last weekend. Also go stuck in the rain then now that I think about it lol.

Here is everything I found on the trip to Mexico. It was early in the morning before every one was up.
Favorite find was the 10 Peso coin. The half a pull tab was a kick in the teeth lol.

Thanks for stopping by. Hopefully be posting again real soon.
Good Luck and Happy Hunting!

Congrats on the finds!

Wow, that's quite a hunt! The pocket watch part looks like the train side of a dial-side plate with most of the center wheel and at least part of the crown wheel (for winding - the mainspring would probably have turned around the hole to the right of the center wheel). Be cool to clean it up and ID it!

Congratualtions on some interesting finds! :occasion14:
