I hunted a few hours with Val(Disciple) a few hours the other day,i must say it was one of the is best days in a while for us both.First we started hunthing along side an old church in the area, and we found some clad, tabs the usual then val ends up finding a sterling ring with a cross(mens) nice silver find,i walked away with united states air force pin(enamel).
Things were slowing down at the church and decided to hit another spot before calling it a day,at the other site not sure how long we were there until we started finding some nice coins...she ended up with a 1924 Merc. Dime,1897 Indian head cent...came out of the ground looking like someone just lost it.. ,a silver dime(not sure of the year)and lastly a 190? V nickle..real nice shape too..she did very well and had some great finds..I'm sure she will post them soon..Congrats Val.
My finds for the day are posted in the pics below she kicked my butt today all in all it was a great, and exciting outing for us both...Enjoy the pics
My oldest wheat cents to date 2 1919's about 3 in deep, the one on the left is not in the best shape but still legible

This pic is of My first ever silver quarter 4 in. down under roots and the enamel Air Force pin a surface find.

And the last pics are of two new Indian head cents i got that day,the one on the left is my oldest to date dug coin 1883 or 1888 ,hard to tell something covering the last #(cant see the last #,and the other is a 1901 both were 3-4in. deep.
