Went this more to some small overhangs near us. My buddy has built a sifter that can break down and fit into a PVC with a shoulder strap. Takes about 5 min to put together but its great for hiking back into the woods with. These overhangs are small but one produced at the end of our day. One point and some pottery. We were pumped. This is the first time either of us have sifted. Walked out happy. It was a thrill to see that point on the screen. Lots of charcoal too n

nice finds congrats HH

Thanks wildman. Not much but it was fun searching for the right place and using the hanging sifter for the first time. We are calling this one our test sifter. Going to try and make one a little bigger.

Thats neat I have never tried to sift. Nice point and shards. At least you know you are in the rite spot.

Yup. Excited to go back there. Still a couple more to test.

Woo Hoo!!! Nice point, and on the first go-around. :icon_thumleft: Like your screen set-up too.

Thanks. He put it together for around 50$ and its totally worth it.

Nice! Getting a point on your first attempt at sifting is real good!
Its a whole new way of hunting.. you will get tuned in and do even better.
There is a good chance you will find things you usually don't see while surface hunting... keep your eyes peeled for beads.. bone tools..ect..

Yeah I'm excited to get back into it. We are looking for more spots now.

Sifting is absolutely a fun day. We sift the S!#$T PILE (colonial dump site) in Rockport MA from time to time and it is always an adventure. Have fun with it!

Yeah we had a blast! Nice doing something different.

Nice finds Ben, pretty neat sifter, looks like you are on a good spot and I can tell you had a blast!!
Very nice point and man, I love to see that pottery...
Thanks for posting,
BCI
