Went out in the light rain to get some digging in this morning. I decided on going to a co-worker's house that was built around the turn of the 20th century.
Lots of junk targets all over this yard so I went low and slow!
I started off finding a few wheaties a few inches deep and some newer memorials.
I was walking along the side of the house when I got a sweet 90-91 on the ATPro and only 2-3 inches deep. I figured on digging a pop can or a twist cap or something similar....

I dug the plug, turned it over and I see it....

I instantly got all sorts of excited!
I barely wiped some of the dirt away and used some bottled water on the obverse to reveal this beauty!

Nothing like that feeling of digging a silver half!

In the backyard, I dug what I thought was going to be a quarter but ended up being Matt Dillan's US Marshall's badge. :D

A little after digging the badge I happen to dig a pocket knife that looks like there are ships on the front and back.
