Re: Florida Hunt

Hunt Location:

http://www.vortexspring.com/

Please click link and read rules of place.

Dates: Jan 30 afternoon, Jan 31st, and Feb 1st morning

There will be areas that Mding will not be allowed within Vortex Springs. for example

Had one wrench tossed recently where he said some folks slip in and hunted the water. They moved special rocks placed in water and did not put them back which caused him major problems so water hunting in the spring will not be allowed at this time. :( Always takes one non concederate person to mess things up for everyone doesn't it. >:( . You can still swim or dive but without a metal detector.

If you rent a cabin or camp with the park, entrance fees are waived. As you can see when you read some cabins hold 6-8 folks with a few people it is pretty cheap to stay there. If you stay out in town you will be required to pay 8 dollars each day as an entrance fee.

Sorry I was late in posting location but getting stuff ready to send to the needy of the Louisiana Bayou has had my time pretty well tied up.

I am collecting no fees for this hunt but if someone wished to donate a door prize etc. I will accept them and have tickets available to draw from for them. If someone would like to donate money I would perfer them to purchase a coin and send it instead.

Lodging, fuel, food, drink etc is on you. The cabins there have refrigs and kitchens too so you could just cook and eat there.

I am going to try to work Saturday's dinner in on the grounds for everyone. Once I have a good head count I will know for sure, it would most likely be a southern type chow like smoked carcass "Boston Butt", Baked Beans, etc. There will be no fees for the dinner either. If someone does not eat meats, please let me know and I will ensure you have something that is proper for you too.

Vortex is easy distance to the beaches of Panama City, etc too.

Post any questions and I will do my best to answer them for you or get you the answer

Re: Florida Hunt

so is this site mainly for water divers, detecting? or are we gonna be working in other areas? maps looks mainly water based, sorry if i seem confused been up all night last night with plumbers in the new house dealing with overflowing water..lol...gregg

Re: Florida Hunt

The owner will not allow any detecting in the water from what I understand so the detecting portion of the get together will all be outside the water unless the owner changes his mind before the hunt.
