This was from 3 consecutive hunts at the same site with the XP Deus HF Elliptical Coil. The highlights were the 1858 Flying Eagle and the Civil War Company Letter F insignia.

So that's where they filmed F troup eh? :laughing7:

Cool finds .. Just out of curiosity, how were you able to determine that letter was a Company F, and not a letter off of a hame cover?

I posted a few pics on the Civil War Relic Hunters Facebook Page for confirmation. I wasn't sure but the size and text style are on line. The site that I found it has produced a lot of Civil War stuff, which you may have already seen some of my previous posts, both confederate and union items.

That is by far the nicest flying eagle penny I have seen posted.Congrats on that sweet find.

Killer condition on the FE cent, congrats! :occasion14:

In Massachusetts are old copper finds are usually toast! :BangHead:

Thanks again everyone for all of your comments! I know that these flying eagles are rare and I have been lucky enough to get my coil over 5 of them so far (4 of them just from this site since November). This one is by far the best condition. There was so much history packed into this site (and still there that we will never get to).

I have to add my WOW to the comments on the FE cent. It is a truly beauuutiful coin. Congratulations and keep swingin.
