Folsom? Clovis? or what?

the little ones are very thin and have a slight spiral when viewed down the tip end.
The bigger one is thin too, and does show a center flute.

Im no expert but they look clovis to me. Folsom should have longer auricles i think. Either way awsome. Personal finds?

thnx for the welcome SouthernGirl, just found this site a couple of weeks ago and its great. I metal detect and artifact hunt...So I like it!
I have a very large artifact collection that are all personal finds. I never buy. It is great to have people look at your stuff and give their opinions and educated guesses. I hope to learn a lot about my collection. I have all the books but the more eyes the better in ID'ing things.

Both of the first two points have a definite Folsom look. Both also show a "fluting nipple" which maens they were being readied for fluting. But, we need to know what state they are from before we can give a positive answer.

Sending them off for a coa might be your best bet on those. SVR is probably right about the staging area for the flute I see 3 like that, but what are the chances of one finding that many with unfinished flutes from different spots?

All were found in southern Illinois. The smaller ones were found in and around Hamilton and Saline County.
The larger one was found in Johnson County. They were finds that span nearly 40 years of hunting the same areas.

In all honesty i would say Midland, but being in Ill, maybe Crowfieldish? If it were found down here Midland 100%. Paleo for sure!!!
