? for Sandman and Max

I am going to head to Destin in July with the Tiger Shark for a week of vacation ( Thank you Sandman for the detector recommendation ) I have only the stock coil. Would you recommend getting the 10.5 inch coil for the trip ? Will it make that much difference other than being able to cover a little more ground per sweep? Max, I already have the digital camera in a waterproof case so my posts will be as "spiffy" as yours . Thanks for any replies. Joe

Hello Joe, the larger coil will cover more ground and get deeper too. If you over lap each sweep by 50% with the larger coil, it will take you less time to cover a certain distance than in using the lil one and over lapping the same amount. The more distance covered, equals the chance of putting the coil over a target. That is one of the reasons Max does so well hunting with that 15" WOT coil on his Sov. Plus he has skills he hasn't used yet.

I am trying to get Tesoro to bring back the Clean Sweep Coil for the Tiger Shark as they have it available for some of the others.

15" GEEZ!!! Thank you for your reply. I will get one on the way, and start trying to learn how to pinpoint with it. Just curious, but is the clean sweep a form of DD coil? I have the 10 X 14 DD on my 1350, that with the YF-1 Invader probe makes a dang good combination for up in the sand, even if it is a bit heavy. Covers ground much faster than the stock coil. HH Joe
