For the older generations.

Sure, I still say 'roll up the window'.
Do you happen to remember the headlight dimmer switch being on the floorboard? Was on our '40 Chevy.

Sure. When they got old, you had to hit them a few times. Replaced a few.

And yes everyone I know including me still says roll em up. But I am from East Tennesseee, the part that says hi dee instead of hello and yuins instead of you or you all. And if you want to ask if someone wants to get something to eat you say. Want sumpin deat.
If I,m hungry I ask my buddy, you got anythin t,eat? Ya,ll be careful out there now!

Good morning older folks!
I was wondering something as it is something that is pointed out to me daily!
When you are in whatever vehicle you drive and just happen to have others present, do you STILL say to "Roll" the windows up ?
I have not physically rolled up a window in a vehicle in probably three decades or longer ago.
Now I am sure many folks have Classic rides or muscle cars, not many of those had powered windows.
I'll always say roll em up!
That's funny, I've never considered that, but how how would you phrase it now. By the way, some of my vehicles had the starter button on the floor.

I'm fixin to do some swangin tomorrow but it's an uphill walk both ways. :tongue3:

BTW Born and raised in SE TN, god's country!!

I agree on SE TN, brother. Know it well. And if you had of behaved you would not have been banished to the northern frozen tundra.

Until 3 yrs ago I had an 88' Ranger with crank windows. I remember cars that had a crank for the wing window. Yes still say "roll" using the elec. windows.
I miss wing windows. I don't know why they "progressed" from something so useful.
