For Those Interested in the Sale of Hogge's 1786 Vt. Landscape Ryder 7 SOLD!

My Stacks catalog arrived today for the sale of my 1786 Vt. Ryder 7 Landscape Copper. What a write up they did! Listed as "Mint State" Sharpness, and of course porous, (being a ground find). With 11 days to go before the auction, it already has a bid of $2,600. This being the minimum bid. Am i excited......YES! When you see interest right off the bat at $2,600, I'm sure,(hoping), it will sell. I do have a reserve price on it. The auction is the Baltimore Sale on the 23-25th of March. It is one of the first coins going. Monday the 23rd @ 1:16 pm is the time and date. Lot #3057. If you want to see a pic...LOOK AT MY AVATAR! Hogge Update: Never got above minimum bid of $2,600. So I decided to forgo the minimum of $3,500 and to accept the bid of $2,600. I can do ALOT with $2,470. That is my cut after the 5% auction cost.

Good deal.

People often over state the value of finds on here. Proof is in the sale. Of coarse a lot of things factor into the sale and you might have been able to get more under different circumstances. But I tell you what - I'd take $2470!! ;D ;D

Hogge- congrats on the sale. i've been pawing through the same stack's mag this week. seems like stacks should wrap their catalogues in brown paper bags, for all the glossy photos and, well, you know... what would the neighbors think?
