Fort Ancient stuff

Someone posted recently on Fort Ancient artifacts and I figured I'd throw up a pic of my stuff. I found the center shell gorget unbroken if you can believe that. It is amazing it survived considering how fragile it is.

Nice Ft Ancient points Lostlake88. I see you have some nice serrated types as well.

Paleojoe and I hit a Ft Ancient site today and I found a really nice Triangle Point myself. I see if I can get a picture of it and post it later.

Beautiful material Lostlake. We have the triangles here but they seem to mingle with hamiltons and guntersville. Those are really nice. Luck was with you on that gorget :thumbsup:

The corner-notched point in the top left corner looks for all the world like an Early Archaic one.

Did Ft. Ancient make stuff like that as well ? :icon_scratch:

hey uniface i dont think they were making too many corner notches in that time period

ft ancient is an actual village site here in ohio,ft ancient is also refering to a time period.400-800 years ago or so i think.

the place ft ancient is a hopewell earthwork in southern ohio,the ft ancient culture was from 1000 ad to contact times
