....it seems like it’s made that way and not bent. It’s missing something too.
I think some sort of driving collar Hame. Looks like snaps on top. A chain hook and rein guides of some sort.
I’m looking forward for a better answer myself.....

Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!

It looks hand-forged to me. Could be some type of horse harness,
but it also could be part of a farm implement.

It's interesting how the ring is held on with a removable, threaded
bolt. I also don't think it is bent..looks to be made in that shape.

Its definitely made that way. The curve is made into the piece. I found several IHP'S (1881- 1893) and a few old tools in the same area. Also about 10 harmonica reeds. Lots of fun!
