Been battling some back problems lately so I took it slow today and went out for a two hour after work hunt and found a really cool keeper! A decent Large Cent. I believe it's 1827 or 1837 it's a little toasty where the date is. I tried different angles with light and magnifying glass can't determine if it's a two or three and can't seem to get a decent zoomed in photo.

The reverse side is in very nice shape, looks like small lettering for United States of America.

Nothing else other than horse tack, key some clad, and junk.

Thanks for looking and HH

Congratulations! Nice detail on that LC. Looks like 27 to me too. I've noticed for some reason that LC's from the 1820's seem to have good detail as a rule. Not sure why, but my oldest LC's (1820 and 1826) have the best detail of all that I have found. Strange; or could just be that I've seen a lot of nice LC's from that decade.

HEY DD THATS A NICE FIND .

Nice Largie! Probably would've had more eye appeal with just a dry brushing after coming out of the ground.

Congrats,

Buck

I'm voting 1827. Great find, and take care of your back.
