Good morning guys and gals, I was on the way home this morning from work. Just finished up back to back doubles. Was going to head straight home but decided to make a detour by the wife's parents house. It was built around the 40's if I had to guess. I got about 45 minutes to swing before the rain started. In that time I found two silvers, four wheat pennies, four lincoln 60's pennies, a nickle, button and a marble. All in about 1/8th of the front yard. Here are the silver one's the others are soaking til I can see the dates. I'm a little sleep deprived but when the rain stops I bet you can guess where I'm going. It is fun getting back into this. I'll post the others if they are any count when cleaned. Sorry about the babbling. Good luck to everyone out there digging. Keith

Very nice finds Keith. A few more of those babies and maybe you can stop working like a dog and injoy life a little more. Life runs out on you very rapidly and your most fond memory shouldn't be your job. Best of luck and happy hunting.

awesome finds i would definitley be going back and spending alot more time

I'm still waiting to dig my first silver quarter, yet half. Nice find!

Thanks guys, got back for another hour then rain again. Up to 8 wheats, 7 nickles, 12 Lincolns. Got half the front yard done in one direction. Also a small copper container it looks like something for makeup (wife probably lost it when she was a little girl). Been up for a few hours guess it's time to sleep a few for sure this time. Suppose to be nice weather tomorrow.

I hope the rest of the yard gives you more good stuff like that! Nice finds.

Thats what im talking about!!! Thanks for sharing!

If I may ask, what are you using for bait? Super Score man! God Bless Chris

World talker I'm using a Ace 250 with a stock coil, works well. I want to get DD coil but I'll have to forge out a few knives and sell before that happens.

That DD coil is nice, what do you make your knives from?

I usually use spring steel it is tough and holds a good edge. I enjoy making the older style knives just like old coins, they have a style and look no longer present today.

Well the grand total of the yard was 2 quarters, 3 dimes, 24 lincolns, 14 wheats, 1 button, 2 jeeps, 1 copper bottle (perfume I think) and the silver. Was hoping for more silver but it was fun hunting it. The neighbor said I could hunt his yard so maybe next week I can do that. The nickle I think is a war nickle 1943 S. It came out of the ground pretty much like it is. I promised to post the rest so here it is. Happy hunting Regards, Keith.
