Found another Specimen stone yesterday with gold in it

I think this was a pretty neat find. Granted its no Takoda specimen, but nice nonetheless. The gold in quartz is pretty rare up around vein mtn NC.

Thats going to make it harder for me to discard pieces without using a loopy on. I actually brought a piece home like that this weekend that had black sand stuck to it.

Hi Astro,
Very interesting specimens! I, not knowing my geology, would think they are somewhat unique in that they have distinct layers including iron, quartz and have gold in them. I'm in hopes that Lanny or another competent geology type will chime in on this one and give all of us a bit more knowledge than we had before your post came out. Is there enough iron content for them to be magnetic?
