!I hate to be a kill joy but.......(well first hey nice specimen!)a 20 lb rock doesnt mean squat!!!What happens if you have a 100 pound rock with a little gold showing??Does that mean I have 25 pounds of gold?

Not.There is a formula to figure it out and it doesnt employ water, and it is a guestamate. The only true way to get an accurate idea of whats in it would be to crush and pan...which I dont recommend. You are not going to get $1000x 20 either if you do send that buyer my way!Collectors whom pay specimen are not buying right now,I cant blame em.The finder sounds knowledgeable so I am sure he will do whats right.I would get an X-Ray of it were it me
Not to fault your logic, but the math leaves a lot to be desired
If (and we know it isn't, need to deduct the host rock weight) it was 20 lbs of gold it would be more like 20lbs x 14.5833333* = 291.666666 troy ounces x $1100 (spot price give or take) = $320,833.00
*1 pound = 14.5833333 troy ounces
