Found in the middle of a bag of gold metal buttons

Doesnt look ald to me from the back and being plastic but Im no expert someone will ID it Im sure.

I am not even sure it started life as a sewn on button. The drilled holes and drill bit marks look home made.There could have been a loop on the shank that broke off and that would explain it I suppose.

The bird looks to be the popular "Phoenix" design. Cant help with the letters. Nice button find.
