. Poured out the bag of buttons and this stuck right out. It feels plastic. The Eagle is carved and dimensional and the three letters appear to be E M G.

I am not even sure it started life as a sewn on button. The drilled holes and drill bit marks look home made.There could have been a loop on the shank that broke off and that would explain it I suppose.

The bird looks to be the popular "Phoenix" design. Cant help with the letters. Nice button find.
