Not really lost treasure, and I didn't even have to hunt for it.

Went to buy something today and use my PayPal account to pay.

Got through the whole transaction and P/P wouldn't let me pick my payment source, kept saying the payment was coming from my balance.

Balance ? I got no stinking balance!

OK go check my account. WHAT THE HECK!!!!!! I have a $700.00 credit balance!!!! :hello2: :headbang: :laughing9:

Dig through the history and find someone sent me the money two months ago. No clue who it is, nor have I ever sold anything and used P/P for payments............. :icon_scratch:

Manna from Heaven? I doubt it, I did the right thing and asked P/P to figure out who the bucks belong to.

Strange, you would think whoever sent the money would be moving Heaven and Earth to get it back..............
Especially since what ever they paid for they didn't get.

You did a good thing, there is someone out there that can't find what happened , and a seller who did not get the money and does not know what happened.

probably some drug dealer or jihadist using your paypal account to move product.

God will bless you for this honest task. Remember Integrity, it's what you do when no one is looking.

I disagree, this has FBI sting written all over it.

Good luck,
HH.

Perhaps someone thought that you could use it.......maybe a secret santa gift from months back that you never noticed haha

good Karma brother keep it up good things are sure to come your way :hello2:

This same thing had happened to me once before with my Paypal account. Honestly, I hate Paypal. They're idiots.

Now that's a hard one to make sense of. I can see someone typing in the wrong email when sending money, but to just leave it and walk away? The only thing I can think of is they sent it as a gift so couldn't file a claim against it, and repeated attempts to contact you were unsuccessful, so they determined you were going to keep it so no point in crying to PP. Did you look back through your PP emails?

Yep no records of emails saying I was paid. Honestly I haven't used P/P in over a year, it just happened that the place I was buying from wanted P/P instead of a credit card. Silly as my P/P is tied to my credit card.

Tried looking up the transaction and there's no fee charged against it, it's a straight $700.00 bucks dumped in the account.

Funny this isn't the first time something like this has happened to me. Last time was my bank. They kept putting someones deposits into one of my accounts. Went on for months. I'd keep going into the bank and telling them ( no thanks from them) and the very next week like clock work there would be another big deposit. You'd think if a bank had screwed up and was doing this or they had a customer putting the wrong account number on a deposit slip MULTIPLE times they would have jumped all over it. Nope.

Banks scare me. I'm keeping my money in mason jars buried out back. And no, I'm not telling where.

Sounds like the good Dr. needs to buy a lottery ticket...just one will do thank you. Don't worry about those mason jars. Once you win the lottery you can just put a short note here on Tnet with some clues and everyone here will take care of the small, loose change in the yard. :laughing7:

PayPal is such a scam! They have no idea how to run a bank. I had lots of trouble wit them. I lost my Ebay account that I had for 10 years and hundreds of positive feedbacks because of them. I had an Ebay business and they totally ruined it and I lost several hundreds of dollars because of them. check out this site: http://www.paypalsucks.com/

Quick! transfer it to your bank account and close your PP account.

If it shows no sender who are you trying to track down? It will say who it's from, and if not, keep it!

Karma...one good deed, it will come back to you ten fold.

I don't know, I was taught a long time ago to follow the Golden rule.
It isn't mine, and I'm pretty sure somebody else is out there looking for it, so since it wasn't mine to begin with I won't miss it.

Maybe the old do a good deed and one will find you is panning out.

Today a "project" has popped up out of the blue. Well not really, I've been given the "signs" for this since I was a child, it just took some things related to another project that started making all those old signs start to line up. Kinda like a Homer Simpson moment when the light bulb went off . DUH!!! The key to it all has just been sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

This one I know for a fact is mine, it's been there for a long long time, just waiting for me to piece the puzzle together.
Hopefully I'll finish the puzzle this spring when I can walk the land and actually see the signs instead of just looking at them.

Wish me luck. :-X
