Hello. After work a co-worker and I went to metal detect around a old cabin in the mountains near our job. I search and searched. Something kept telling me there is a coin here. So after about 2 hours I finally found one. Its a 1900 V nickel. I know its not the oldest or even silver but its my first old coin... I'm very happy to say the least. KIMG0059.webp

The f4 is working good. The falsing took a while to get the hang of but when its over a good target it let's you know. I do normally hunt in descrimination with iron notched. I am ready to upgrade to a better detector tho. The f4 is great for coin shooting in parks but I need ground balance that carries over to descrimination. I am still torn between the vaquero or at pro. I am leaning toward the at pro for the water proof abilities. That opens a whole new world of metal detecting.

I didn't dig any other relics or coins. Only old can lids and bullets and brass. My friend found a very old shovel. When we get a chance we will go back there are old fruit trees there and I believe blm took other building down around there. We just need to find where they used to be.
