Found Something Way Better Than a Fossil & a Merc on Tuesday!

I got out a couple of times last week to hunt. The first site was a church that was built in the 50's. I have been there once before back in November of last year. Didn't find anything interesting in the grass back then but on my way out I did manage a silver Rosie in the gravel parking lot. On my return trip there Tuesday...same story....only this time as I was giving up hope for the site I got a Merc....in the gravel parking lot! ;D You would think I had learned a valuable lesson the first time! OK....lesson learned.....even though it's a pain...Ya'll don't forget to hunt the gravel too! Gotta get back there soon.

Saturday I had to make a stop at Walmart for a few things and the place was like a mad house. No parking anywhere close so I went to the side of the building where no one parks. There is a big wall of rock where they had dug out to build and my first thought was FOSSILS! :D I got to spend an entire three minutes that my family would spare me there.... :-\ .... and I got a purdy little fern! ;D Gotta go back there soon too! :D Then that afternoon I went back to a yard that I had hunted a few weeks ago but only found a spoon some change a pin some keys and a fake ring and three wheats.

And here is a picture of a place I'm sure some of you have seen if you travel on I65 on your way to the beach! It's a lovely place just north of Birmingham. Just thought I'd share my snapshot of the day with you. ;) Hope you have a great week~!

Nana ;)

Some good digs. That merc looks pretty good for coming out of gravel. :) Parking lots(gravel) are good spots just hard digging, lots of trash and usually poor looking coins.

I know that place well, I pass by it going to visit my daughter in Arab. She has lived in the Huntsville, Arab area since 2001. There are some really nice places in that part of the state. I live in the Montgomery area.
