Again, the button could be pre CW, CW or even post CW depending upon the exact backmark on it. :)

According to Alberts, RI 33 the backmark should be "*D. Evans & Co.*/Attleboro Mass" In WILLIAM F McGUINN and BRUCE S BRAZELON book, made between 1850-1880. Warren K Tice says between 1860-1880. good button, nice hunting!

The UTA button saw service during the Civil and Indian wars.
