Found this arrowhead today, was curious about how old it may be?

Found this today. Decided to walk the stream behind my house after the heavy rain we have had. Was sitting right in the middle of the creek plain to see. Found in Oconee county, Georgia. Any ideas about how old it could be?

Looks like tip and the base to mount it both have broken off

Need something for size reference. If less than an inch I would say it’s a true arrowpoint versus a dart point. The bow and arrow was used from 400 AD until historic times.

Hey there, I've found quite a few quartz points in the area, it can be really hard to date such simple (and ubiquitous) forms.

It’s a bit over an inch

Went back today and there’s a spot that is being eroded by some springs and I think that’s were the points are coming from. They’re washing down into the creek from there. Found a larger piece inside the hole. Piece of it has broken off but otherwise looks solid.
