I'm not sure you are going to make out the design on the object. I dont think its just a slab of iron or lead. I see some pretty cool designs, perhaps even an indian figure. I found it walking close to some dunes and in very rarely walked area. perhaps its just lead and has been shaped thoughout the years, dont know. i figured i'll just add it since i didn't post in a while.

about $2 bucks in change, a 1944 wheat. 2 full bullets, one has a U on the bottom, the other says W-W super 35 rem.

Actually, it does look like melted metal. Your eye is trying to distinguish a pattern. I may be wrong... interesting though! HH

Could it be "trade silver" of 17th Century? I do find it each time in Hogge/ship shape SI and roman numerals[X, V L C etc.] HH Boris20130222_112827.webp20130306_154937.webp

the back of it does look like melted metal, the type i always tend to find a lot of along the south shore of long island. This particular piece seems much different though, although hard to tell in the photos there is a very nice design in the front. To me it looks like something that could have been worn or tied to at the end of an arrow.

But as stated previously, the more i look at it the more my eyes will try to make it into something. Might just be a first piece of lead i found that mother nature hammered throughout the years to make the indian figure i keep on seeing :)

Into the unknown jar it goes.

Imagination ... is a wonderful thing . Seeing faces in wood paneling and in the clouds , Richard Nixon's bust on a Potato and a Indian in a chunk of melted metal .
Nature forms wonderful things on objects ... this act of nature will always make us question those shapes that appear where they shouldn't ... it's cool to see those images and a neat little blob of metal .... IMHO , Woodstock
