looks like i found my place amongst detectors im the lost and found guy. I was hunting in my normal spot and decided to go along the river and try my luck and low and behold there was a wallet laying in plain site so i snatched it up and looked around to see if anybody was around so i continued to hunt bout an hour later i decided to try to locate the guy called a number in his wallet told them what had happened they put me in contact with the guy he didnt even know he had lost it he was just there steel head fishing and must have droped it out of his waders bending over or something long story short guiy came and got it offered me money i refused just a handshake yet another awesome day

thanks guys i know if i lost mine i would hope someone would return it so its a no brainer for me to do whats right in the last 3 days now i have found and returned a wallet and a set of keys i wonder what i will find tomorrow ha ha

I have a friend who works at the Post office at he says they get alott of walets every year and no one there ever returns them,he says they don't have the time to do it,so don't ever put it in a mailbox,try and phone the person.

Thanks I actually ran into the guy last weekend he was there fishing and he thanked me again and tried to give me money again and I told him it was ok i didn't want the money when I found the wallet I didn't look in it at first but after I was done hunting I did and noticed there was alot of money in it I didn't count it I was just looking for a number to call but he told me there was 3200 dollars in it that after fishing he was gonna go buy his son a used car for his 16th birthday I told him ten years ago I would have pocketed the money and wouldnt have thought twice about it but as I am getting older I found that being righteous is alot better
