Hey friends. I posted this a while back and got a couple of responses as to what it was. They both said it was a piano reed. However I was recently looking through my AMERICAN DIGGER magazine and came across a article on a person that went to an old camp site and found all these things. I seen my metal piece in it. Now I am really curious.. Any ideas? It has the two holes on the bottom as well as in the pic too. thanks all!

it is a piano reed..the 2 small holes would be where the thin strip of brass was attached to it.....i have found these at all kind of sites...

Hey OG, I don't have a clue on this, but it looks the same to me.

Just wanted to say hi since you are in Horse Cave.

My grandparents lived in Barren Co, you are in a good spot for Indian relics.

My best memory's as a child are roaming the creeks and woods of that area with my 22.

Ok. Thanks guys! I just wanted to make sure because it kind of made me wander when I seen it mixed with all the confederate stuff. Just wanted to make sure. thanks a bunch!

Didn't we decide that those are from squeeze boxes (accordians) instead of pianos?

I can't remember. Iknew it had something to do with a musical instrament...

Pianos don't have reeds. They have strings.

Organs and accordion like instruments have reeds.
