Nana, bending the ring depends on if there's any stress fractures along the bent areas and how brittle the metal is. I'd probably try some kind of spindle (either a broom stick or a deep even a deep socket and small hammer. Take it slow. Don't try to bend it all at once and keep an eye open for metal cracking. BTW, it's a Hartford Insurance Junior Fire Marshal ring from back in the 1950's I believe.

Ditto on the above.
Harbor freight sells a ring spindle for working with rings, small hammer,
wood block; sells for few bucks. Less $10.

Neat finds. ;D

Nice finds Nana.

That marble is a really nice one. The disc you speak of looks like a rossette. I love those old items with a nice pattern.

You know at first I thought the Chinese coin was another tax token! :D

:D You have NO idea how funny that is!!! :D Just as I dug it up, I thought it was a tax token as well. Instantly, I thought about your reply on my last post and I was laughing and telling Lisa about it. She said she had read it and knew what I was talking about....before I got up, I was cleaning it off, I found that it wasn't a tax token at all! :D

Thank you Gman...I guess with the majority leaning towards rosette, I'll go with it.

Thanks again! Nana :)

Nice set of pics and a good mix of finds, Nana!!

Nice finds.... cool! May I suggest the round ornament may have come off of a purse or clutch bag. Possibly leather. TTC

I know there's a bullet in there some where. Really excellent finds Nana. Monty
