What kind of buckle is this.

Came from Civil War battle ground in Dinwiddie VA.

Hey Jim,
It doesn't look that big and looks too dainty for a horsy thang. Maybe he could put a coin next to it to show the size.
Of course, I may be wrong.

I was thinking 2-2.5 inches and like I said "frail".

Sry bout the size of the pic. It's about 2 1/2" long x about 1 1/4''
