From my "odd rock" pile

found in a creek. Couldn't pass it up. The line of white encircles the rock.

Could be sandstone. The round things could be pockets of clay.

There is another phenomena related to structural geology which I can't remember the name of right now to, that could explain it.
It would be helpful to know what those small things are for starters.

Certainly looks like sandstone as Eu_citzen mentioned. Hard to tell from the picture what the white rocks are, could they be quartz ?
