hey everyone.....the silver zeus got out today even though the pennsylvania ground is solid as sears. the hands are raw from pounding and digging. zoyboy, doyboy paco and i decided to hit an old defunct park near some farm fields. after hitting the park all day i found a 1903 barber dime all by its lonesome. cool i thought......i decided to go in the farm field since i found 2 half cents there on dec. 31st. of 06. the half cents were dated 1794 and 1804 about 20 ft. from each other.what a memorable day that was. back to today....we were all hitting the same area again when i soon got another low pennie reading and said out loud "oh oh" i think im about to wet myself. good thing for depends undergarments "he he". zoyboy comes over with paco and we all contributed to chipping and blasting just to free the target. my pinpointer soon told me that it was now within reach. alittle more chipping revealed the corner of the coin. as soon as zoyboy realized that it was a post colonial he started hyperventilating, passing out and speaking in tongues.after three slaps, aright cross and an uppercut i finally got him to come back to the third dimension. anyway i identified the coin as a 1795 bust facing right, african head connecticut copper.

It's a 1785, silver goose. Too bad Paco didn't slice it in half when he was chipping away at it...hehehehehe

Pack some inhalers for Zoyboy, can't have any detectorist left behind with their eyes rolled back in their heads. You see Zeus, you're planning ahead with those Depends undergarments, every a boy scout? "Always be prepared"

Wonderful find, indeed something to be proud of. Happy Hunting

Great find! Glad you didn't damage it while trying to chip 'er out!

Once again, my research is paying off tremendously...for you....hehegahehe

It was a very lucky find! Hell, those 1700s coins are common now - I found 3 last year. hehehehe

Yeah, that's 11 Colonials in less than a year for our group.

Not an African head, they are very distinctive. It does look like one of the 1785 or 1786 ones though. Great find!.

Sweet find!!! Love those coppers.

Awesome find! I'm lucky to shovel the snow off my car in the morning!
You guys are always finding the best stuff! Keep it up!

Happy Hunting

Yes, we do tend to find the good stuff. But, our research is at its utmost now. Zoyboy has been pounding the hell out of the local history section at our library. I have also been perusing history texts like there is no manana. With our research combined, our club will be kicking some "you know what." Stay tuned for some more royal a$$ kicking in the near future!
