Fugio Friday!

Got out with my good friend Frank yesterday to some new spots. On our way to them Frank spotted what he thought was a hole. We got out & walked around & yep, cellar hole!

This site produced this small knee buckle close to the hole. Then moved closer to the hole & got another good signal & pulled out the escutcheon plate. I worked my way to the back side & got a good signal between 7-8 down but a vine was in the way. A few good chops with my shovel took care of it. Dug down & low & behold a Fugio popped out! This is my 2nd one ever! After a while things quieted down and we got back in the car. We drove probably 100 feet & saw another one! I nabbed my 2nd Copper but alas it's toasted.

Thursday's Finds:

Thursday I was off from work & went to a new spot. Pulled the flat button out. 2 swings to the left & got another good signal & pulled out this beautiful shoe buckle. I also had the chape but it dropped out of my pouch somewhere, grr! Moved further out & got this small silver plated spoon. Continued further out & got the musket ball. Was a long day & hit the site pretty good but someone had been there a long time ago and left plow parts on the foundation.

Thanks! Soaked it in warm water, lightly bushed with a tooth brush as well as Q-tip, rinsed & then coated in Ren Wax.

Wow! Those Fugio coins don't grow on trees! Pretty rare find and yours looks very nice. Have you made out the exact variety you have? Some of them can get pretty valuable it seems. Lovely sight with coins and relics to match. Well done.
