Funked up Finds

vibes · Aug 14, 2008

On the rare days that find me out there lookin', feelin' the landscape...huntin' the "desire path"...I run across the damndest things...and sometimes they're the ones I cherish, or marvel over most.

I'm one day late on "Today's Finds"...hope that's allowed :-*

Way to go Hoosier!

Is that a stone with a "2" in it? Very cool find. I like the old bottle.
Congrats,
MM

I wonder if they made buttons out of the clam shell.

yeah it IS a "2" etched in the stone, what a kicky lil geofact! Oh, oh, oh...the 'heart ' of that stone is crystal encrusted, sorry it didn't come thru in the photo!

I LOVE bottles! And that one is defintely sassy! I feel the unearthed finds enjoy having jobs, or tasks to perform...here's my bottle symphony

Weird finds indeed but very cool

jimb · Aug 14, 2008

Cool Pics. I like bottles also. If you leave the old clear ones out in the sun for many years they will turn pink, blue, purple, etc.

49er · Aug 15, 2008

Cool rocks and looks like someone drilled holes in abalone shell.

crazyjarhead · Aug 15, 2008

I wonder if that stone with a 2 on it is some kind of weight :icon_scratch:

You're my kind of person

When it comes to finding weird stuff I excel!

Please keep posting so I don't feel all alone here

One of my first posts years ago was a stone that looked just like a guy's p______. I had only a few posts and got laughed off TNet

HH,

Badger

badger ....you gotta post those pics again.....PLEASE...

phlebah when my time is limited I have 2 locations rather close to homebase. I found the bottle, holed shell and weird rock (not the one w/ eyes)...along a river bed. The bottle was just sitting there. The shell was IN the water. Then Ileft and found the No. 2 rock and the "skull" at a stone aggregate area.

Badger...I've GOT to see that rock! I'm currently reading a book, The Secret Language of Stone...huh, I wonder what story the "P" rock would tell

crazyjarhead....I'll have to take a magnifying glass to it...see what, if anything is there to see. BUT I have a feeling it's a geofact...but it IS a cool a@@ rock!

49'er...the holes are perfect...so must've been machine made?

jimb...I've noticed the color change while digging at various sites. Kinda kike a mood ring

Michigan badger...whew, someone to hang with and share the weirdness. Happy to know I'm not alone!

mistergee...share some pics...would love to see your finds!

I gotta agree with jarhead on the "2" rock. I just can't see that being a geofact. Not saying it's some ancient and mysterious stone, but it just looks like someone worked that number onto it on purpose.

mistergee · Aug 15, 2008

will do as soon as i get a new camera...old one is dead. maybe a few days as im working a ton of overtime 7 days a week. the o.t. usually doesnt last long so possibly after the weekend.

Sorry to double post but that bottle tree is so cool!

I love the Christmas season so I've got to make one. Now I finally have a place for my two boxes of old bottles

Burdie · Aug 15, 2008

Back to school? Is the universe trying to tell me something?

Ok, ok....I got the 'rhtimitic message...

I MUST be in touch with my inner 8 yr. old!

Found #1 today...I guess I'm on one of those weird missions now to complete the series. Why me? Rhetorical question.

Here's to a wildly fun huntin' week ahead!
