Nice pic! Those Black and Yellow Argiope's are scary-looking, but harmless to humans. When I was a kid, there was a weedy field near my house, just full of them. Only saw it one year. They were making a feast of all the locusts we had that year.

Got popped by a copperhead when I was 12, but very lucky on that one, the fangs snagged in my brand new unwashed jeans.

My brother was bitten by a brown recluse 3 weeks ago, and it came close to killing him. He didn't know what it was that bit him in bed, but the hospital said it must have been a brown recluse due to the symptoms and rotting bite area flesh.
