Seems like something is fishie about this thread with mainly two guys posting most of the posts.
You newbies would like about anything since you haven't used any other detectors like the CZ-21,CZ-6a or any of the minelabs or White's water detectors. Wait till the AT Pro falses on the wet sand at a saltwater beach. It would be OK for new drops in the dry sand, but anything would work there and in Canada you can drag a magnet for coins I've been told.

C dude y are u gonna come to this thread & piss on these guys excited about what they just bought WHO cares if they havent used alot of other machines whats ur problem u really that bored. We all get ur not a Atpro fan we dont need to here it anymore these guys r happy as they should b leave em alone quit being an imature kid.

I don't mine minelab or whites shoot there another awesome brand but both of there water proof metal detectors are over 1000 dollars I'm not spending that much right now

Ya dude the 5x8 coil makes that pro totaly different weight wise seperation alot of changes n great in parks where its trashy to good luck

Why are you bashing the pro on here. Don't be jealous that Garrett made a detector that people want and at a great price. No I haven't used those other detectors. The only one I've used was an ace 350. I've done a lot of research and I mean a lot! The pro is what I went with and I can't wait to get it today and use it this weekend.

No one is saying that any of thouse detectors are not good. I am sure there are better detectors out there. What are you saying we work for garrett? I dont think so.

To b honest i dont go to the beach alot & when I did I had the bigger coil on. Now from what exp Ive had with it I think it would work better cuz its smaller so Ud b able to stabalize it better down fall to that is it is smaller so it would take longer to cover an area. Now that u brought that up makes me wanna go to the beach & try the smaller one out
