I don't plan on ordering one at the present but when spring gets here I think I will change my mind. When some dude says his AT Pro works great on the wet salt water sand I have to worry about his education because not all saltwater beaches are the same as regarding magnetic black sand and salt concentrations too. What works for one guy will not be anothers cup of tea.

Just the fact a guy can carry it anywhere and use it for about anything makes it a keeper. I had an AT3 and AT4 and they were good for fresh water only or on the dry sand. :coffee2:

So today is the 11th of November. Has anybody gotten their hands on one yet?

NO!! Still waiting... I pre-ordered one. I have it coming next day air as soon as the distributor get's them in. really like how it hits those tiny nuggets in the video Garrett has on Youtube. MAX I also think the 15k will really help with gold chains... I think the AT-PRO is going to get me alot of gold out of some of the swimming holes I hunt. Hope it gets here soon!!!! :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumright: :headbang:

Looks like it works on Va. beaches.Possible configuration issue due to balance.

Are we still waiting on this wonder machIne that was to arrive a couple weeks ago. Are we sure it's not coming from minelab

I have to chime in here, I agree with snooksion. I don't think he is condemning other hunters, just talking about beach hunters preferences in general.

For what its worth, I would not trade my Excal 2 or Sovereign for any other machine on the market.

I are no too ggod at speaking articles so please scuse my ringlish.

it works just fine in the salt water.

damp sand
knee deep zone
wave and wash
runs quiet...........but only in the pro mode
really good on bottle cap discrimination........the best ........on shallow, deep ones so far still sound ok.
stock phones for land do not work all that good on the beach.............waves and wind noise creep in, we need an adapter plug so we can use our own phones. waterproof phones are available soon as our the adapter plugs.....
for under 600 bucks u get a lot of detector.

carried it to the dirt today for first spin

I am excited about this machine. I love White's and have several, but to have a detector that is weatherproof is a big deal to me. I don't like rain or snow or the fear of dropping my box in a lake stop me from hunting. I am ready to upgrade, and as soon as I sell my BHID, I am ordering. I moved away from the ocean, so the whole salt discussion thing is moot for me. WTG Garrett!
