GAS TOKEN

I found a token that I have been unable to identify the age of or other info.It says "GOOD FOR 2 CENTS IN MERCHANDISE" and the other side says"UNITED OIL COMPANY" with a Elwood,Indiana address.Any help would be appreciated.

oil company money
this was how people where paid back in the day coal compinies where good for doing this you used them for goods and services in the comapny owned shops some companys owned the whole town that you worked in and paid you in this money that you used in there shop's etc etc

its near the bottom of the pagei am thinking that 1951 is the date altough i am not certain
