Gemstones in PA

I just joined and I’m more interested in gem hounding. I live in Allegheny County and I’ve only been able to find decent mines / sites around Eastern PA. I don’t really want to travel over 2 hours for a place, does anyone have recommendations? Thanks!

Let me see what I can find for ya here. From my rock hounding book of PA, everything is pretty much fossils. Now if you are interested in those as well, then I go a few sites for ya. Looks like any semi precious stones and gems are out east.
