It has been very very hot and humid in NC. I headed out about 7:00AM both weekend days, and was forced home by lunch time.

It is too dry to dig in most places, however, I was able to locate a couple of places where the holes will not cause an eye sore. The finds were meager, the highlight for me was a '43 quarter, I was glad to get George out of that hot dirt! The coin was co-located with a piece of trash (About 2" apart, 4" down), the Deus was able to give two tones, which alerted me to the shiny rascal.

I also dug an aluminum disc, that appears someone "practiced" on with some punches. It says "Williams" on it. Maybe a home made ID tag. If you can make something out it, let me know.

EDIT: P@tch ID'd this as a WW1 dog tag!

Be careful on your hunts, it's hot, drink lots of water, and thanks for looking!

A belated congrats Tom for the silver Q. Shoot, the last silver I dug was on 7/2 and my last keeper was on the 4th. We have some rain in the forecast.
I will be jumping for joy tomorrow singing Gene Kelly's big hit "Swinging in the Rain" :occasion14:

Tom, awesome finds!, I don't get on here as much as I'm used to so I'm just seeing this now, that tag is awesome and of course the silver is a great save, nice work!
