German Wehrmacht M35 helmet

At the first detections this spring, looking for ancient Roman traces, near a WW2 combat area, I found this German military helmet quite well preserved. It was pretty deep and I think it was buried, not lost. A friend cleansed the helmet very well, and in the leather fragments inside her found even the owner: "Off Weidl" (Offizier Weidl).

Yes I noticed that.However the period of the two world wars is not very interesting for me. But such a discovery is still a rarity in this area and I enjoyed it. I have a few friends who collect artifacts from battlefields. This helmet I offered as a gift to a good friend of mine who cleaned her very well.
