Coins and a ring on your first hunt? Not too shabby. It only gets better.
You will probably be upgrading to another detector some time in the future and TNet is a great place to get all the information you might need to make an informed decision for your area.

Welcome to Tnet. Happy Hunting (HH)

WTG You are off to great start with your new hobby. Hope to see more of your posts soon. Welcome to the T-Net Family.

Congrats on your finds and welcome to the "Hobby"
The Lonestar should be a good detector if u learn all you can about it and use it alot. The only gold ring I've found so far was with a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 101 so you can't say a $1000.00 detector will help you any better than a $200.00 detector.
Just gotta get out there and hunt because if you look at crackbadgers finds..."whew"....them there gold is just laying there waiting for "you" to find it..

Good Luck and HH

It is hard to say what is the best type of detector on the market, there are so many and each is soo different. I think the best thing is to get to know your machine and really see if you will like this hobby. If you feel it is for you and you are willing to spend around $300, then I would suggest a Garrett Ace 250.

You are doing just fine Groundslayer, finding clad and a ring on your first hunt is outstanding. Keep up the good work and the deeper coins will come with more field time.
